Can't Delete Apps on iPhone and iPad in iOS 12 or Earlier? Quick Way to Fix the Issue
Sorry for the late reply, I've been away for a while. I deleted the facebook app because it wasn't working right. When I went to install it again, it says that it is already downloaded I've had this happen with other apps too. How do I fix this? Sorry for the late reply. If you haven't tried that yet, connect your phone to your computer, and see if you can delete it from there. I don't have my system with me at the moment, but when you select your phone in iTunes, there should be a tab on the right side named Apps or Applications, and you can manage your apps from there as well.
This happened to me as well and is driving me crazy! Have you figured out what to do? I've tried everything.
- samsung galaxy change email notification sound;
- app planet android black market download!
- phones to wait for 2015.
- iphone 4s 4g price in india.
- android norton mobile security lite.
Have you tried deleting the Facebook app while hooked up to iTunes? I haven't tried that yet, but that's the only thing I can think of atm.
FWIW, this thread on Facebook makes this look like a known problem. Rebooting the iPhone after a failed installation seems to help some people, but not others.
Hey thanks for the easy to follow instructions. Phone's working great now since I rebooted it. Not sure if it was the apps or itunes sync function, who cares! It works: A lot of people have written about their iPhone getting into a bad state when an app they are installing gets into a partially-installed state.
If anyone has a solution for this problem, I'd be glad to hear about it. I'm assuming that the solution is to connect the iPhone to your computer, and then delete the app from iTunes, but I don't know for sure. I simply resumed downloading the app that was loading. I had to "guess" at which app got stuck, based on the ones that were loaded and the one that was missing.
Sure enough that fixed the problem. I have no idea, however, how to figure out which app is causing the problem.
How to Fix iOS 11/12 Can’t Delete Apps on iPhone iPad
I simply guessed and got it right. Good day.. I have some sort of I phone problem.. I am really getting annoyed with this problem and need some help.
I have checked every app and checked the firsts apps that were pending and am unable to redownload any. I have one paused LoveFilm and checked that on the App Store but no option to continue the download. I have some apps on my Iphone that will not delete. One is Swaptunes and the other is an NES emulator Anyone have any ideas on what to do? I have tried everything I even have the program manager tool to delete every file and I do not know how to rid my iphone of these programs Sorry for the late reply Color me silly, but I can get the apps to delete, just not sure how to stop the jiggling afterwards.
My icons kept jiggling and probably would have kept jiggling if I hadn't had an alert come on the screen which I answered. When I returned to the home screen, the jiggling had stopped. To delete iPhone apps that are not on the main screen, just switch to the screen they are on, then follow the steps above. The iPhone reboot worked for me!
I had about 11 apps with 'waiting' status after I pressed the 'Update' apps button. The update process got stucked until the next day. Today, I rebooted my iphone press Home button and Power button on top at the same time for about 5 seconds until the 'slide to power down' appears ; then 'turn on' your phone and the 'installing' process resumed one at a time.

Hope this helps. Hi, I've deleted an app which wasn't working well and now I need to reinstall it. When I go to app store it is not giving me the option to install as it seems to think I still have it installed. It is still showing in my settings as there but no icon is showing so I'm not sure whther I was meant to completely uninstall from somewhere else.
If u could please help with this that would be great! Apologies, I should have mentioned that this issue relates to all apps, I understand that the permanent apps cannot be deleted so apps I've downloaded or web pages I've saved onto my home screen can no longer be deleted.
